Please help !!!

When I uncomment <identity impersonate="true"> in web.config I get the following:

DotNetNuke Upgrade Error
The Assembly Version ( [ASSEMBLYVERSION] ) does not match the Database Version ( [DATABASEVERSION] )

ERROR: Could not connect to database.

The stored procedure 'dbo.GetPortalAliasByPortalID' doesn't exist.

I am running Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition and SQL Server 2005 Express & DNN 4.3.3

Everything works fine but when I uncomment <identity impersonate="true"> I get the error above.

Can any one give me a hint !! Thank you!

(I am trying to use the Windows Authentication Module which has worked before when <identity impersonate="true"> is uncommented and that's what I am trying to do. I need to synch with AD)

I appreciate any possible help. Thank you.

Hey I resolve the problem!

If you are in WS2k3 this is what I did.

I initially though I had IUSR and NETWORK SERVICE setup to have dbo permission for the database. As I'm checking I realized that for some unknown reason to me IUSR had no longer dbo permission to the db neither NETWORK SERVICE....  So I gave dbo to the database to this two accounts and now is working with <indentity impersonate="true"> uncommented.

And for the bad news! Windows Authentication NOT WORKING!
No specific error but just:

An error has occurred.
Error: Windows Authentication is currently unavailable.

Any ideas......?

THNX

this looks like missing permissions in the database.

Thanx leupold you are correct that's what it was... Any idea on the Windows Authentication issue sometimes I get the what I mentioned above and sometimes I am getting this....

Error: Windows Authentication is currently unavailable.
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. ---> System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at DotNetNuke.Security.Authentication.ADSI.Utilities.AddADSIPath(String Path, Path ADSIPath) at DotNetNuke.Security.Authentication.ADSI.Utilities.GetRootEntry(Path ADSIPath) at DotNetNuke.Security.Authentication.ADSI.Utilities.GetRootEntry() at DotNetNuke.Security.Authentication.ADSIProvider.GetNetworkStatus() at DotNetNuke.Security.Authentication.AuthenticationController.NetworkStatus() at DotNetNuke.Modules.Authentication.AuthenticationSettings.cmdAuthenticationUpdate_Click(Object sender, EventArgs e) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

Hope I figure this one out .... I've been thorugh this issue so many times and when it works I don't even know how it gets fixed. So many things I change during the process that it becomes hard to keep track of them.

Thanks eveyone in advanced for any help !
