We have enabled AD on our local Intranet and it works just great. When a visitor access the site for the first time, s/he is automatically registered and logged in.....

My question is as follows:
Is the logged in user's UserName available to me? I want to show the logged in user some data specific to him/her from our HR database. If it is available to me, what is it named and how can I use it in a SQL query to retrieve data from our local HR database

Would my query look something like this?

SELECT Field1, Field2, Field3
FROM MyTable
WHERE UserID = ??????? (The username of the logged in visitor)

I hope this makes sense!

Appreciate and help!

there is a module for sale on snowcovered called xmod. This module has a free addon called XMod Remote Data that is still in beta, but it is supposed to allow you to pass data between a dnn database and any other database. I don't know if this will help you, but you might want to give it a try. you can also ask the developer of xmod if it will allow for what you want on his forums. http://www.dnndev.com.
