I reviewed the forum administration for quite a bit of time and I haven't been able to find out to universally enable the New Thread button for all forums. It seems like the administrator account is the only one who gets a New Thread button on the forums.

Can anyone point me to the proper admin area to set permissions for registers users to be able to post new threads?

I also searched this forum with a combination of words without luck.

Give registered users edit permissions to the module. YOu also must make sure you are using some sort of container for full functionality after this. (And edit container)

What do you mean by that last part.  "you must make sure you are using some sort of container for full functionality after this"?  Does giving registered users edit permissions also allow them to change other settings related to the module?

You need a container set to process module actions. Module actions are what generate the buttons like, search, forum home, etc. Giving registered users edit rights to the module does nothing but allow them to post in non-private forums. (Possibly private too)
