hotnow, I am not exactly sure the issues you are experiencing. I do want to help, but to be honest I have already re-written everything around email for the upcomming release. For me to go back and try to find the problem is something I don't have much time for at this point. I am going to be doing lots of testing before this next release though, so hopefully I will handle any issues prior to them occurring.

i have some interesting late-breaking news, but first of all, when is the next release of the module scheduled to be available for public consumption?

i've been trying every iteration of configuration on this, and found that when i have the following:

email notification: checked
show sender address: checked
automated address: same address as the host settings smtp email

i get notifications going in the WRONG way... the notification emails are sent FROM the sender TO the automated address, and NOT to the subscribed users.

the 'return-path' and 'from' fields are properly filled out in the email received, but the 'delivered-to' is the main configured (under host settings & automated address) email, NOT the email of the user who originally posted & opted for notification!

strange indeed.  does this help debug at all?

WHat happens if all is the same except you clear the show sender address checkbox?
