After I installed DNN 4.3.4 on my host and clicked on the link to take me to my web portal I am getting a box asking me for a user name and password.  I don't get this when I install on my local machine.

Just to test I installed 4.0.3 and did not get this.  I want to get 4.3.4 installed, does anyone have an answer?  I have looked up and down the forum and have not been able to find the answer.  I am sure it is something to do with security but don't know if it is in one of the config files or with my host.

Thanks in advance.

Todd

I know exactly what your going through as I'm having the same problems. It has to do with "eventqueue" folder and your hosts' application pool. I haven't looked into it closely yet with my webhost but have read a couple of threads. One in particular describes the problem: "First run Problems - EventQueue issue?" at

http://dotnetnuke.com/Community/ForumsDotNetNuke/tabid/795/forumid/107/threadid/47749/scope/posts/Default.aspx

Also if you google DotNetNuke with eventqueue or application pool you will find some good info.

"eventqueue +ForumsDotNetNuke site:dotnetnuke.com" or

"application pool +ForumsDotNetNuke site:dotnetnuke.com"

Mike,

Thanks for the info.  I have contacted my host to try and get a dedicated app pool.  Do you, or anyone for that matter, know if the DNN team are working on a fix other then a dedicated app pool?  With a lot of people using a shared host I was hoping there would be a fix or solution.

Thanks again and if you find any other sort of fix or answer please post it.

Todd
