I still can't get my own HTML/Text Modules to show up in What's New.  My own Links and Announcements do eventually show up, but only after doing a bunch of things, including deleting other modules, restarting IIS, changing settings in various modules and pages, and even disabling caching for the whole site (from the Host settings page).  I'm not sure exactly how What's new is supposed to work, so I'm not sure what settings in other modules impact whether or not they should show up in What's New.

I tried your settings (and othercombinations) on a fresh DNN 3.3.4 install.
You are right, the HTML/TEXT modules are not showing up in "What's New"
Strange.....
The items in the testforum I added do.....
Anybody else any ideas?

for my fress, 3.3.4, not only the "what's new" doesn't show anything at all, but also the page copy function doesnot copy the modules (Refrence or new ok).
On the fresh install none of the default modules appeared. I tried clean installation many times but these problems remain.
Any clues?

PS: In the web.config I have set data base owner to "" instead of "dbo" since it could not install with the default settings. Is that related?
