I have finished developing a web site.

There is a  Login prompt even though  I have specified no authentication

How do I remove the login prompt yet be able to connect as admin or host to modify the site?

By "Login prompt" do you mean a login link somewhere on the page of the site (as opposed to a Windows login prompt)?

If so, you can remove it from the skin, that's what I would do.  You could probably also go into the resource editor in the languages page and make its value null, I haven't tried that but it seems like it would work and would have the advantage of turning to the user's name with a link to their profile page after somebody does log in.

Anyway, regardless of whether or not the login link is in the skin you can always invoke it by appending your URL with "&ctl=login" or "?ctl=login" depending on whether or not there are other parameters in the URL.

Shane,

Can you clarify this:
You could probably also go into the resource editor in the languages page and make its value null, I haven't tried that but it seems like it would work and would have the advantage of turning to the user's name with a link to their profile page after somebody does log in.

I'd like to display the user's name, but not have this be a link that goes to the user profile. It is a shared account and someone removed the account by deactivating it.

Thanks.
