I have placed dotnetnuke in the root web folder ..now i have product.aspx, i made it with visual studio..i have created the virtual directory to place the product.aspx beneath the root web folder.

Now, i can open browse the product.aspx because it under the root which already has dotnetnuke and it always read the web.config of dotnetnuke ..not the web.config of my application.

How to solve it ?

This is a known bug and classified as a "feature by design" by Microsoft. IIS reads the nested web.config from machine web.confg -> root web.config -> virtual web.config. It is recommend that you not nest virtual directories, and if you do, you should only use one web.config.

You can manually remove the entries in the virtual web.config from the root web.config such as

<httpModules>
<clear  />
</httpModules>

or

you can modify the root web.config using the <LOCATION path=> tag

or

create a separate sub-domain to run the separate application.
