Hi everyone i was following this post cause i had the same error. I did what mentionned (modified the web.config and corrected the & error) but still when i rebuild the site i have a bunch of errors with the global file. It seem's it is missing the dotnetnuke assemblies declared in global (security,..). I checked in the bin folder and they're not there. I'm i missing something here? Any help would be appreciated. thanks

Two things I might look at. First Rebuild the Solution (The website will be skipped) then check your bin directory to make sure that the DLL files are there (if they are try building your website). Second, if you are unable to build your solution, make sure that IIS is indeed running the application using ASP.NET 2.0. In my experience I have found that IIS usually attempts to run all applications using the default app pool which uses .NET 1.1.

If both are ok, try reregistering the 2.0 framework with IIS:

C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.0.50727>aspnet_regiis -i

Then rebuild your solution again.

Let me know if this helps.
