Hi, Yoyosh.

1. Did you have any problems installing VS2005 ?

2. What kind of VS2005: Express, Standard, Developer ?

3. Who did install it and under what account (Administrator or user) ?

If you look at the Options from Tools menu, under Project and Solutions | General tab, there are the locations where the templates will be installed. It looks like you do not  have access rights (create folders) to these locations as a user logged.

This time my DNN 4.3.4 installation HAS SUCCEEDED. Following the previous advice I just removed three modules that caused the error, as folows:

1. Repository

2. Store

3. User_defined

To login use the following:

1. Not at all

2. VS2005 Professional Edition Microsoft Visual Studio 2005
Version 8.0.50727.42  (RTM.050727-4200)
Microsoft .NET Framework
Version 2.0.50727

Installed Edition: Professional

3.This computer has only my account (Administrator), so I have access to everything. VS2005 was also installed on this account.

All these directories in tools->options->etc are d:\C# WORKSPACE; I tried to copy starter kit 4.3.4 into that folder and run, but the results are the same :(

What may be wrong?

Hi, Yoyosh.

One think you may try is to change the location name without '#' character. I might sound stupid but once I had a problem with it, when I was trying to open CHM files with '#' included in their names. I figured it out by getting rid of '#' from the name.

Just try it !

Your shot was correct, thank you very much!

Now I may choice DotNetNuke in project templates, but when I am trying to create it, I am getting the following error:

The .vstemplate file expects to be added to a project item, but the item being added to is not a project item.

What does it mean?
