Tim,

I couldn't find any contact info for you over at your site.

Just wanted to let you know that your updated menu doesn't work in IE 7. The orientation attribute is ignored and a vertical menu is always displayed. Also, child menu items are actually overlayed upon the parent items.

I was using the skin object version in my testing and the House of Nuke site itself displays the same behaviour in it's menu in this browser.

Just some FYI. I did not test the PA/module version, although I think it would probably display the same behaviour.

Hi Tim

I've tried to install the skinobject. But when I load any page it seems to loop infinite somewhere in the menu and the eventlog get filled up with these Module Load Exception and Page Load Exception.

Have you (or anyone else) seen this behavior before?

I like this menu alot and I am glad to see updates to it.  The two problems I have with the menu are both with IE7 beta 3.

First the menu does not display horizontally properly and always displays vertically.

Second the drop downs never display. I am assuming because IE7 fixes the hover bug which housemenu has some js to take care of that.

It would be great if we could get the Ie7 bugs worked out with this menu. Perhaps dynamically include a seperate stylesheet for IE7 without any css hacks.

Thanks.

Update:  I installed IE7 RC1 and the first problem has disappeared.  The second problem still exists where hover over a menu that has a sub items are not displayed.

Lars: Are you still having problems? I have not seen anything like you described.

dubeaud: I'm glad you like the menu, and you are right about IE7. I have been looking at making the menu work with IE7, but it's not as easy as one might think. Just turning off the javascript did not appear to work when I tried that before, but that was with beta 1, I think. I have some time to work on this today, so maybe I'll come up with something.

By the way, there is a new version out on the site -- fixes the issue with page icons for admin menus and adds a title attribute that will display the page title or name, depending on what's available.
