DNN Smart People:

There is ample documetation for getting DNN running on your local client with SQL, IIS and DNN loaded locally. Now I am trying to get it going on Prod.

All is running well on my local Dev PC (WinXP). I placed DNN out on the DMZ and SQL2005 in Prod (Server2003). All are configured the same as my local PC.

When I change the ServerName in the Config file I get the infamous Error 4.03.02 "Could not connect too database specified in ConnectioString for SQLProvider." I have tried many parameters in the string: ServerNames, IPs, Ports, etc. My connection string should be OK because its coming from my Dev PC.

I am now investigating RemoteConnections, ASPNET users/Permissions/

Could someone please post the instructions for such scenarios?

Thanks

Keitherj

Does your DNN web server and SQL server on the same machine?  If not, is there firewall settings between them that prevent successful connection?  I ask this because you mentioned DMZ in your thread.  MS SQL port is 1433.
