What's the best way to create .net 2.0 modules using VS2005?

1. Open your local DNN website thru VS2005
2. Add item - DotNetNuke module template
3. Add module definition via local DNN website (can use the newly created manifest file)
4. The rest is pretty similar to 1.1...

It's just that this isn't documented anywhere and wanted to make sure I'm not missing any simpler way...

That sounds right to me :)

I think the DotNetNuke Module template also creates a sql script (it used to be called: "Module.SqlDataProvider" but I think it's been changed) that can be used in SQL Query Analyser/Management Studio to install the module, but using the manifest will work too.

Also don't forget you can package the module as well by going to its module definition and selecting Package Module from the module menu.

Which will only work if your module has a directory in [app_code] by the way....

Good info -- strange, I know the wizard creates a folder in the app_code, but I don't use the files in there...
