PortVista,

did you try making a module with my BlankModule solution (link is below in the sig)?

Users who used it are pretty satisfied with the way they can develop modules with it.

Thanks,

Vladan, good work. That's the same way I developed modules in 1.1, and that's nice, when I get to the point where I have a starter project that I can just copy to make new ones from. Once I figure out how 2.0 works, I may go your route. I do like having DNN open, but it just may get too slow...

DOES ANYONE KNOW how to debug??

I set debug in the web.config, added a stop point in my vb, but it doesn't stop...

I also found this blog very useful as a starting point.

You mean how to debug when working with starter kit?

Well if it's built in Debug mode everything should work normally?

Can you give us more details on how you have set up your enviroment

Thanks,

I'm really unclear on how .NET 2.0 builds. I use the DNN starter kit for developing.

#1 In one instance, I have 3rd party modules installed, and builds fail, because it tries to build those. So, the only way I see my modules actually build is by browsing them. Strange way to build a release version....

#2 I'm able to debug using the attach process method here, so I'm ok I think...

#3 But, for debugging the core vb, it gives me the "symbols not loaded..." error for breakpoints.

#4 Why are the .vb files included in the install versions of DNN? Isn't that source? I don't want to be distributing my vb files right?
