Does anyone else have this issue:

You login as an admin to add or edit a category or product.  The first time you click an add/edit link you get an error (A critical error has occurred.
Object reference not set to an instance of an object.) but if you go back and retry the same link two or three times, it will suddenly start working?

I can reliably re-create the issue every time ASP.Net has to do a compilation (so every time the web.config is edited, new assemblies uploaded, app pool recycled, etc).

As the "error" vanishes after the first load, it could be something cached, no one else seems to have had the same problem as me though?

Solved!!!

The problem is actually caused by the DNN text editor control, once you know that, a quick Google search reveals the answer: http://www.janetsystems.co.uk/Default.aspx?tabid=71&itemid=607

Basically, I just copied the en-US.xml file from the directory mentioned, renamed the copy en_GB.xml and now everything works perfectly.

Well, the easiest way to change the file is via FTP.  If you can, just connect to your portal's web space via your FTP client, navigate to the folder mentioned in the link above and copy the named file, then rename it accordingly.
