I have DNN 2.1.2 installed in my root directory.  I'm trying to install 3.2.2 in a Virtual Directory under the root, but I'm getting the following error:   "Section or group name 'data' has already been defined."

I've read that it has to do with the new install trying to reference the root web.config, but I can't seem to fix it.  Any ideas would be appreciated.  Thanks.

Can you please present the entire error page and stack trace?  There may also be some "Sharing and Permissions" setting issues within subfolders of your .NET Framework also.

Thx

The forum says I have one reply to my topic, but I can't see it for some reason.  Anyway, I made a mistake in my original post.  I'm actually trying to install 3.3.4 in the virtual directory, not 3.2.2.

the version is not important, it is becouse of DNN 2.1.2 web.config in root directory, you can rename this file and run the other DNN in Virtual Directory, so if you want to use both of them, you should install DNN 2.1.2 in another Virtual Directory , NOt in wwwroot!

Thanks for the response, here's the error page below.   I checked the folder security, ASPNET has "Modify" control of all the folders and subfolders (Windows Server 2000).
