I am working on upgrading a dnn installation from 02.01.01 to 04.03.04.  I was able to upgrade the site and get it working in the current version.  However, everytime the application runs for the first time it automatically runs the upgrade even though the upgrade is completed and the site works.  I've tried changing the "AutoUpgrade" setting to "false" in the web.config file, but when I do this the site comes up with a page saying "This site is currently unavailable".

What do I need to do to correct this?

Also when the upgrad page runs this information is displayed:

Current Assembly Version: 04.03.04

Current Database Version: 02.01.02

Were you able to get this fixed? I had the same issue. I wasn't able to directly fix the "This site is currently unavailable" when AutoUpgrade setting was on false.

With AutoUpGrade equal to true, I was able to resolve my problem. I had manually run the DB scripts to upgrade from 3.00.12 to 4.03.03 because I have added a ton of my own tables and features into the architecture and I wanted to tightly control the upgrade. Because of this, the "Version" table still had 3.00.12 as the Version. When I change the record to reflect 4.03.03, I don't get the upgrade page.

Now, when I switched back to AutoUpgrade = false, I no longer get the "This site is currently unavailable" when the site first runs.

Are you sure the DB upgraded? If so check the latest version in the version table and see if the DB version was updated.
