When I publish an announcement with a future date, I can no longer see when logged in as admin or host.

I read these posts and set the cache time to 0 but still does not work.

How do I edit and view all of the announcements with future Publish Dates?

You can select the "future" checkbox in the module settings page, to make future announcements appear. mind you, all users will see them....

cheers,

Erik

OK, I really don't want future announcements showing up, but they are. I don't see a check box for "future" in the module settings or the module definition in the host area. Where do I find "future" so I can disable it?

Have DNN 4.3.2 installed.

TIA,
Bret

OK. I think I've figured this out, but want to run this by someone before I do it. (Yes, I'm kind of new to DNN.)

The announcements module has been updated since DNN 4.3.2. The DNN 4.3.4 upgrade doesn't seem to have any module upgrades in it, so I should download and install the latest Annoucements module, right?

So I downloaded Announcements_03.03.04_Install.zip and looked at it. The settings .ascx file does have the Future setting in it, so this is probably what I want. But the zip file doesn't have any file paths, so I'm not clear on what to do next.

Somewhere I read that "upgrading modules is easy, you just upload them". So, I think I should log in as a super-user, select Host > Module Definitions and click Upload New Module. Then add the Announcements_03.03.04_Install.zip file and upload it? And the module installer should figure out how to unzip and place all the files where they go?

So before I do something stupid, is that how I'm supposed to upgrade a module? Any concern about the data that's already been entered?

Even if it is this simple, it would be nice if someone added that to the online help so clueless people would know for sure what to do. I suppose I could find a test machine somewhere and make myself a test server and just try things... But I'd rather not spend the time doing that if I don't need to.

TIA (again),
Bret
