Hi,folks,

My DNN Version is 4.3.4. When I click the "Categories" tab within "Store Admin" module, it shows an error message  below:

A critical error has occurred.
Unable to cast object of type 'ASP.desktopmodules_store_account_ascx' to type 'DotNetNuke.Modules.Store.WebControls.Store'.

Is there an way to resolve the problem? Any suggestions will be appreciated.

I'm just setting up a development environment to troubleshoot this for a client as he tried to upgrade and got this.

From first looks, you usually get this error with .Net when you try and deploy a debug build instead of a release build onto a site. Or possibly even have multiple dll's with the same libraries in your bin directory for DNN. Did you install the module from the _install.zip or the _source.zip as possibly you may get different results with each.

I'll let you know once I've had more of a look tonight when I get back from work.

I've seen this issue when you include any other store control on the same page as your store admin control.

For example, if you have a StoreMenu or a StoreCatalog control on the same page as a StoreAdmin, then you get the error.

Try creating a new page "Store Admin" for example, and only putting a StoreAdmin control on that page, and the problem should not occur.
