Hello ! I have a problem !

I have configured a DNN site with the ultimate DNN version (for NET1.1 framework) into a develop machine called "DevMachine". In "DevMachine" there are the database server SQLServer2000 and IISv5.. now i need to move all installation of DNN into another machine called "WebMachine" with its database server !

  • I have copied all DNN folders from "DevMachine" to "WebMachine" and i have created a new IIS registration called "ISPortal".
  • I have mounted the database into "WebMachine" and i have manualy changed the "PortalAlias" table to pointing of the new web database "ISPortal" ex "192.168.0.16:2000/ISPortal"

If i try to connect to "192.168.0.16:2000/ISPortal", DNN reset all database configurations and erase all customized tabs !

THX

OK solved !

The problem is into the database server. I think that it is VERY IMPORTANT to install a version of SQLServer2000

CASE INSENSITIVE !!!!

The default database "collate" will be "case insensitive" (in my case LATIN1_GENERAL_CI_AS ) because the DNN stored procedures invocation not checks the sensitive variables -> @PortanID (invocation) != @portalid (into database)
