I want to skin the different attributes (set an image instead of "Search", change the Copyright) and play with different modules, but I can't find a collected place of the references. How to use [ACTIONBUTTON:2] and stuff when building HMTL containers. It has evolved to some detective work out of proportion. Reading the forums it's all snippets, not in -which- xml-file, and when should I change XML-files and when in asxc-files? I don't really understand...

I found a reference spot but I didn't bookmark it and then it was lost....  help.

The DotNetNuke documentation will answer most of those questions.

I think you'll find most of the skin objects only have a CssClass attribute. So just assign it your own class which forces a larger area and paints the background with your button image. like this (66x21 Image):

.btn_login { color: #FFFFFF; font-size: 8pt; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; height: 19px; width: 66px; display: block; background-image: url('images/btn_login.gif'); padding-top:2px; text-align: center; }

This is a reference site I often use when skinning:

Hope it helps,
