DNN didn't finish in the top 5 in the Packt Open Source Content Management System contest Shaun Walker mentioned in his blog. (I think they forgot to count my vote...)

Although it's not very scientific, it's nice to see the "google trends" on the 5 nominees compared to DNN.

This one shows that DNN, Plone and e107 are quite near to each other.

And here you can see that Xoops and Drupal are  a bit above DNN (in this graph, don't want to insult anyone) and Joomla...... well eh..... left the planet....

I guess DNN didn't stand a chance since it's NOT LINUX BASED.....

I also wonder why there are so many searches from Viet Nam on DNN.....
Is there a secret server there, changing ip address all the time, creating hits for Dotnetnuke....?

This result was kinda expected.  I think that next year the numbers will be skewed a little more in our favor.  We are making headway, but it takes time to show up in the popularity contests like the Packt contest.  If you look at the latest SourceForge download numbers, you will see that we are set to overtake Typo3 this weekend on the all time download list.
