I am using SOLPARTMENU on my skin.  Here is what the third tier looks like in IE:

But in Safari, the third tier pops to the top:

Is there anything I can add to the css to make the third tier pop to the right of the selected menu item?

Thanks.

The short answer, is no.

I have not tried Safari in a while to see if the line of code mentioned above can be removed to work around their bug, with the inability to obtain the posiition of the TR element.  So it may be possible to update the script.

Note:  The script above is for DNNMenu, however inside spmenu.js you should see a similar one.
