I developed and module and uploaded on a 4.3.4 portal on my PC and worked fine but when the client uploaded the same package to his portal, upon loading the first control he got the following error:

MinMax persistance type of cookie requires a ModuleId

Has someone met this error before?

Thanks,

Phillip

You ran into a popular/common error.  I ran into this problem one time.   At that time, the error related to a section in the DataProvider.vb.  It failed at the sub CreateProvider.  Other potential problem are some ascx or vb source files were not packaged and deployed and therefore missing on the server

Every time I have ever seen this error, it is the result of an earlier error.  If you log in as admin and check your admin->Log viewer, the details of the earlier error(s) will be displayed.

Thanks for both responses.  The client, to whom I gave the module, had version 4.0.x of DNN.  He upgraded to 4.3.5 and the module worked.  So I did not get a chance to examine the admin->log Viewer; but thanks for the advice. I will try it if it happens again.
