Hi there,

I'm trying to get hold of and use the currently logged in DNN userID (ideally the int value that corresponds to the UserID field in the DNN Users table, but even the username e.g. "host" would be a start) but I don't know how it's exposed in the DNN API.

I can use the .NET framework as follows:

szuserid = HttpContext.Current.User.Identity.Name.ToString();

...but this is obviously giving me the ASP.NET username and not the DNN user ID stored in the Users table.

Hope that makes sense! Thanks,

Matt

Dim UserProf As DotNetNuke.Entities.Users.UserProfile
Dim UserInf As DotNetNuke.Entities.Users.UserInfo
UserInf = UserController.GetCurrentUserInfo()
UserProf = UserInf.Profile

UserInf.FirstName()
UserInf.FullName()
UserInf.LastName()
UserInf.UserID.ToString()
...

UserProf.FirstName()
UserProf.FullName()
UserProf.LastName()
...

Thanks guys - the DotNetNuke.Entities.Users.UserProfile object was just what I needed.
