Hello,
I've added the FCKeditor on my DNN (4.3.4) /SQL 2005 installation, and I would like to ask you if you have any answer to my issues :

I've uploaded 1 picture (jpg) and 1 document (pdf) in a secure Folder on my database.

First issue :When using the FCK editor, I cannot insert the picture because I cannot see it inside the folder, I see the folder, but empty...

Second issue : If I try to create a link, I can see all the folder's content BUT I cannot create any link to the pdf document, always an error when it opens ....

Could you please help me to understand what's going on ??
Thanks in advance,

Hello again,

I've upgraded my DNN to 4.3.5 version, but it doesn't resolve my problem....

The links created (by using Insert a hyperlink tool) look like
http://mySite/LinkClick.aspx?fileticket=FEYQf7cMN+w=&tabid=36

It's ok with my internal sites, on my network, these links are working well.

But for my external web site, it doesn't work..... "The page cannot be displayed"

I've tried with Links module, it is the same issue... So I'm sure it's not because of FCK!!!

So I have to find out what's going wrong in the LinkClick.....

If anyone has already found a solution, your help would be welcome !

Anyway, thanks for all information I've read in your forum.

Flo,

make sure, you have your external Portal alias as first alias in portal's alias list (you need to access the portalalias table directly in the database to achieve this, so the external address always gets used.

Hi,

I've only one portal alias in the database, the external one...
I'm wondering if there is something to add in database security, as to allow the links to work.

It's very important for me to be able to add links to files on my server, so I have to understand what the "LinkClick.aspx?fileticket..."  needs to work well.

Thanks a lot,

If you have only one alias, the your link must be the same from your local network and from Internet

The fileticket is created because your file is stored inside a secured folder.

So check your file permissions (READ) for that folder inside ADMIN/File manager
