Hi

I just upgraded from 4.3.3 to 4.3.5.

I installed 1.00.06 of FCKEditor following the usual instructions on the README file.
All working fine now. Now when I edit something I get an option for basic text box or rich text editor.

Basic text box shows html code (tags and all) whether I select text, html or Raw. Is this normal?

Cheers

Alex

Dear Alex,

You are confusing people by editing your post every time. You only need to continue the tread posting another message on the same conversation, so people will know what are you talking about. Thanks

About your problem, we will need a screenshot to understand you (I am already confused.)

Regards

Yes you are quite right, I'm sorry I should have just killed the thread and started again.
Ignore the notifications and look what's on the site. I will not edit it I promise!

I'll explain again from the top (ignore everything else)....

When I edit text in the editor, and then click "basic text box" radio button, and then the "text" radio button at the bottom (if it isn't already selected) the below html is displayed in the main editor Window:

<p class="Head"><img height="160" alt="SamplePicture07.jpg" hspace="5" src="SamplePicture07.jpg" width="250" align="right" border="0" longdesc="" /><strong><font class="Head" size="5">Your Heading Goes Here</font></strong></p><span class="Normal"><div>Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetuer adipiscing elit, sed diem nonummy nibh euismod tincidunt ut lacreet dolore magna aliguam erat volutpat.

Now if I click the "HTML" or "Raw" radio buttons at the bottom nothing changes in the main editor window, still same text displayed (as above).

Is this normal? Would you not expect something to change when you hit these buttons?

Sorry about the confusion! Let me know if you need anything else, I hope a screenshot is not required now.

Ah to add to this (rather than edit!) the text sometimes changes when you hit one of the radio buttons (Text/Html/Raw), it rarely works though. It's as though there is some weird caching issue going on here. The postback is nice and fast in my environment. Bug perhaps?

Cheers

The module you are using is a text/html editor. So if you change from rich text to basic text box, all html code will be kept.

The only way to not have html tags is to only use basic text box and not to include html manually.
