Yep. I'm experiencing this. My WHP is running me in an IIS 6 isolated process, so my sites are on their own.
I'm wondering if DNN 4.3.5 just takes up too much memory (some code not cleaning itself up perhaps) and therefore the IIS process restarts to clean itself up to compensate.

There definitely needs to be some more optimization as far as memory goes within the DNN framework, well that's my perception anyway. Maybe there are some third party modules out there (or maybe within the framework). I'd be interested to know how I could test for this.

Unrelated.... Zone alarm (latest version) is a bloody pain when trying to log on (authentication cookie right?).
I wish they (zone labs) would fix it this issue (or is it their issue?). I find it odd though that the only problems I have are with DNN sites. I worry about users trying logging into my site who are running this app, have issues, and just surf away.

Oh and as far as Zone Alarm in a Visual Studio development environment goes, well forget it!

Cheers

Alex

I checked this Gemini issue and posted a comment there - but the ability to log these restarts will be difficult if not impossible to implement as the solution involves reflection of private variables which requires Full Trust.

Charles Could you not check for system.web.aspnethostingpermission and full trust? If all available use code in DNNP-4384, if not available use code in DNNP-4565? Cheers! Alex

I pulled the rest of my hair out on this one but this is what i found. I have many dnn installs from 2.1.2 thru 4.3.7 and I had this occur beginning with 4.3.5. I tried everything mentioned in this thread with no luck. I run a number of third party modules on my site so I began removing one by one. I found the offending module. articles by efficion. not to say its the particular module -- it may be a conflict with it and another that I use. However, when I removed this module all was fine. I then ran a test, created a new portal instance loaded modules in different orders and when I load the articles module the behaviour returns. everything is fine when logged in as host. normal users get logged off as soon as they leave the page they are on. I did find that in a multi-portal scenario if the user exists in the parent the user does not get logged off. So now I don't use the articles module which is a shame because it is a great module!!!

I would be curious to know if any of you are running this module?

regards
