Hi,

I forgot the Host Password, but I am am still able to login as the Host because of my browser fills automatically for me. But I do want to change the password so that I can work from other computers.

I heard we can create additional Super User Accounts in DNN 4.3.4; is it true? If so, how to do that?

I tried to recover password using "send password" feature; I do get a message from the system; but the password is covered with all 'XXXXXX'  (not recovered!)

Please help me to recover the password; I do have access to the database and the hosting server.

Thanks a lot in advance!

Under the Host menu you will see a page called "SupperUsers Accounts", that is where you can create new Host Accounts.  However, why don't you just go to your profile and reset the password?

Hi Robert,

Thank you!

I didn't try the Reset Password yet;

BTW, what are the improvements in DNN 4.3.5? Is it stable?

I see you have a DNN based eLearning / LMS product. How does it compare with Moodle (www.moodle.org)?

Thanks again for your prompt response!

4.3.5 is primarily bug fixes and yes it is stable (or I have found it to be ;-).

I am not familiar with Moodle, but here is a little info about our LMS:

  • It is a DNN Integrated LMS
  • 100% SCORM 2004 Compliant
  • Fully Integrated Certification System
  • Objective Based Learning Object Assignment
  • Auto Discovery Services
(take meta data of a user, group, or cert and lists appropriate content sorted by relevance)
  • Master Child Portal Content Pushing and Assignments

The list goes on and on.  The LMS is flexible enough to be used by medium sized corporations to large enterprise corporations and educational institutes.

Future Add-on will include, Licensing/Certificate Archiving, Integrated Support Desk, Commerce/Sales/Costing (allows you to sell learning tracks, cost training, and invoice clients or pass costs to department budgets), Virtual Classrooms, Surveys, and Project Management (primarily for use in developing curriculum, training tracks, certification tracks, etc).

I hope this gives you some ideas of what it does not and will do in the future.
