Hello,

I got this error when I executed the Default.aspx or Install.aspx outside of Visual Studio.  Go back and execute Visual Studio 2005 and select New Website from the File Menu.  You should see the icon "DotNetNuke Web App..." in the My Templates selection.  If you don't make sure the default language is Visual Basic.  If you still don't see it then re-install DNN.  Once you see the "DotNetNuke Web App..." icon select it and follow the instructions on the Welcome.html page that will be brought up inside of Visual Studio.  By far the easy way to get it working is by using SQL Server 2005 Express with all the defaults.  I hope this helps.

Robert
