This is my original post:

I am experienceing a problem with the Repository and FileManager download functionality.  I suspect that if I can solve the FileManager problem the Repository resolution will follow.  When I click on a link in the FileManager, I receive an error message 'Internet Explorer cannot download Default.aspx from mysite.com. etc.'  I've looked in log files, event viewer, and site logs but I still don't have a clue why this is happening.

Addtional Information:

  • Windows Server 2003
  • IIS 6
  • Compression is on
  • The documents module on the same site works just fine
  • Files downloaded from the repository module are 0 byte files

I resolved this problem by turning off compression.

My follow-up question is has anyone used IIS 6 compression with DNN and not had the above problem?  If so, could you describe how to set this up?  Thanks!!!!!!
