I know this may sound fundamental, but how do I upgrade from 4.03.04 to 4.3.5? I already created my own theme and content. I just want to make sure I don't overwrite anything. This will also help me for future releases of DNN. Maybe you should have a clear and concise document just for upgrades posted on your site.

for 4.3.4 to 4.3.5 it is very easy: just unzip the upgrade package over your existing installation, getting all included files replacing the existing ones. This will preserve all changes, except your tweaks on existing files - what you should not do, if possible. Default templates, skins and containers get overwritten, if you make changes, make sure you first create a renamed clone and tweak this one.

There is an installation manual included with the documentation package.

I have to agree with this thread. The documentation is not very clear about the process for minor upgrades. I have been using DNN since the release of version 3. However, I have only performed a handful of upgrades and like to refresh my memory on this each time. The documentation mentions upgrading 3.x to 4.0 but never specifically mentions the process for upgrading say 4.0.x to 4.3.x. In addition, there is no mention of the purpose or usage of the additional Upgrade package. It would be great to add this kind of information to the downloads page of the DNN site as well as the documentation.

I need to upgrade from 4.0.2 Install package to the latest 4.3.5 package. Do I need to use the Upgrade package or just extract the Install package over my existing.
