I tried to install as told in the FAQ

Q. What steps should I follow for a clean installation?

... ** MS Access ( default ) -- You need to ensure you have the latest Microsoft JET 4.0 Database Engine installed (browse to http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?kbid=239114) The database file ( DotNetNuke.mdb.resources ) will be created automatically. ...

anyways I got this error message

Error Installing DotNetNuke Current Assembly Version: 04.03.05 ERROR: Could not connect to database specified in connectionString for SqlDataProvider

Checking in the web.config file I found no configuration option for an access db. What shall I do? Is the FAQ lying?
Thanks for any supportive (SQLe, MSQL and friends unfortunately are no goes for me) comments!

It looks like the FAQ have not been updated for a long time. Jet Engine Support had been available only with DNN 2. It is recommended using free MS SQL 2005 Express instead.

Haha, maybe they should use some sort of content management system to keep their site up to date!

But ... what a drag!!!! Arrgh!!!!! Sorry. They should really remove this to spare people the frustration (or better still move to some platform agnostic orm layer that would take care of this kind of problem)
