I haven't gotten them to completely go away.  Some things that minimize the number of object ref not found errors:

Turn off the solpart navigation in the forum administration -> general settings - uncheck show navigator although I don't think this really turns of the navigator because it still shows up

Upgrade to the solpart 1.7 version

Larry,

I forgot that I have highly customized all of the core code of the

DotNetNuke.Modules.Forum.Popup.dll

DotNetNuke.Modules.Forum.dll

Dotnetnuke.Modules.Forum.Integration.dll

and recompiled them to mitigate some of the errors.  I still get random errors on the What's new render method

Well, I did an install of 4.3.6.  It didn't move the siteurls.config or features.config to the root.  I also got errors when it was trying to install all 23 modules in Install/Modules.  Things seem to work ok, except without the modules I am missing, there isn't much to do. Any idea how I now install them?

Log in as host, go to module definitions, click install new module, browser to your local hard drive and pick the zip file for the module you want to install, click save file and it should install the module.  Like I said, you may have to add the code subdirectories for the reports/survey modules to your web.config file before installing the reports/survey modules.

Sorry guys, I'm back. I stopped receiving updates from this thread. I thought it was dead! Glad to see it's not.

1and1 has been absolutely useless. The foreign tech support kept insisting that they would NOT debug my code. I politely told them to update their FAQ. Their business hosting package states that it supports dotnetnuke, but the actually FAQ explaining the install is from an old version.

They said they would attempt to update it soon.  I'm not going to bother troubleshooting this old version (4.3.5) and go ahead with 4.3.6. As I can see from this thread, it's not worth it to upgrade.  I'll be sending in my progress soon!!

As a note, on MS Shared hosting you can no longer set permissions for Network Service, which prevents you from installing DotNetNuke.  I was also told by support (after 4 days of waiting), that it is not possible.

Sir with regards to your query,
basically, since the upgrade of our ASP.Net framework in MS Shared
hosting from v1.1 to v2.0,
installation of the DotNetNuke is no longer possible due to our ASP.Net
v2.0 security policies.

Does anyone know of a good hosting company for DotNetNuke, in the same price range and features as 1and1 shared MS Business.
