This is great. Thank you. Will it be included in future versions?

Thank you,
Predrag

I've done the fixes for DNN 4.4.0 and it can be downloaded from http://dnn.gmss.org If anyone runs into any errors please let me know ASAP. Thanks, also, to Dan and Greg for testing the fixes for DNN 4.3.7 even though it was never released (DNN 4.4.0 was released).

One can hope. I know they're looking for a new project lead so hopefully once someone is found they'll be able to meld at least some of the fixes into the core but until that happens I'll be updating the fix with every release that comes out. It may not be right away but within a couple of weeks (probably just in time for a fresh release of DNN )

Just like user DennisSteehouwe, I am getting the endless loop whenever I try to access the DNN site with a new (unregistered) user.  I have created a BRAND NEW install of 4.4 and applied the 4.4 AD fixes (2 dlls) by mikeh.

I have been working with this AD thing under 4.x for over a week and still made no progress.  The problem definitely seems to rest on creation of the user.  When I put the site in "mixed" mode, it works OK.

Also, in full Windows authentication mode, it works if I pre-create the user in DNN by hand.

But I sure would like to have it in true Windows authentication mode.  It used to work well in 3.x.

Please help!!!

The biggest problem in trying to figure out why this is happening to you and Dennis is that if it's not happening on our systems it's difficult to debug. With the multitude of possible infrastructure setups it's difficult to sort out possible reasons why you're running into this problem. Could you post in detail what you've tried to do to get it to work and I'll see if I can think of some things you could try.

Hi, I am running mixed mode authentication. I have a couple things to ask..

A - I am running dnn 4.3.7 and would like to execute the appropriate fix but I can't find it for download. I tried to use the 4.4.0 fix but it gave me an error message.

B - When a user first accesses my site, dotnetnuke auto-creates a user for them in the dnn database. At this moment, I'd like to execute some code that will create a module specifically for them. (I have written this code for when a user registers by form.) What I need to know is - Where should I put this code? Somewhere in the signin.ascx.vb file?

C - The usernames of my user logins that have been created by windows authentication are in the format DOMAIN\username
eg MARKETING\JonesT
When they click the log out, they can't seem to log back in, no matter what combo of username they try.
Eg username = MARKETING\JonesT nor username = JonesT
What is the correct format to login in this situation?

D - In what table does dnn store the passwords for users in the database?

Thanks for any help
