hi...

i m new to dotnetnuke. I just installed it and started exploring it. So far the things look good and m able to develop a small site with no difficulty. My idea now was to move a step ahead and develop a site having sub sites. So, I developed a parent site named A and developed two child sites B and C. Now what i want to do is i want to pull the info availabe on site B and C onto site A. To make it more clearer, assume sites B and C have a module Announcements that contaings announcement specific to their sites. I would like site A to have a module Announcement also which displays site A's announcements as well as announcements of site B and C. i just browsed thru the online help but couldn't get what to do. Can anyone help me out? Thanx...

Regards,

Saima

Hi Saima
Each site is seperate to the other so there isn't any builtin way for doing what you want.

However, as is always the case there are other ways

One way would be to publish an RSS feed for each of the announcement modules and then place a 'FeedReader' module on the site you want the combined announcements to appear.

Also on Snowcovered there are modules that can content of other modules.  Do a search for 'shadow' as what you are looking for is a module that will shadow the content of another.
