Ok, this is very frustrating.  I have created portals in the past, with no issue.  Just recently, I attempted to create one, and when it redirects it gives page cannot be displayed.

 

Example, if I assign it as parent, name it "test" and leave other settins as default...It will redirect to  http://test  rather than http://www.(urlhere).com/test

 

WHAT AM I DOING WRONG!!!!

If you are on a webhost such as webhost4life, go to your control panel and reapply the correct .Net Application setting for the new domain/s, even if it indicates that it is the correct version.

I think that might do it.

If you want it as http://www.(urlhere).com/test, you need to set it up as a child portal.
