Hi folks,

Brand new 4.3.4 isntallation - everything seems to work fine.  Building about 15 pages with diffent core-only modules.  I installed the Repository on a page, uploaded a pdf to create an entry - everything looks good.

Then I went in the module settings to add some categories and change a few settings.  The next time I went in to try to change the skin - pressed update - nothing happens. I can't do anything - I have to use my browser back-button to even get to the page again - cancel doesn't work.  I can't even delete the module!

Ideas?

Why not 4.3.5?

Are you using the FTB editor or a different editor. This is usually a java script error related to the editor. Go into a standar Text/HTML module and and get into the "Basic Text Box" mode, update to keep BTB as your editor pref. No go and adjust your settings and see what happens.

Well... because at the time of installation, it was just being released.  It's too bad DNN doesn't notify folks when a new release is issued... I probably could have installed 4.3.5.

Anyway, I'm using whatever the core default editor is - I have not changed the settings.  When I enter the  Repository Settings, it is set to "Basic Text Box."

Nonetheless, I followed the instructions and that worked.  But, does this mean that I have to use BTB as the default editor for the entire site?  That's a huge handicap.  Please explain.

...and thanks very much for your support!

Rob

First off, I would suggest an upgrade to 4.3.5. Process is painless and pretty simple, just make sure you back EVERYTHING up.

An no, you will not have to use the BTB for the entire site, just get into that mode when editing the settings for the repository. Just remember you need to activate it BEFORE you go into the settings. I was not aware that the FTB had that issue. It was a problenm for a while with the r.a.d. editor from Telerik, but they have fixed it in the latest release.

Good Luck
