You are correct, it's not the container -- the answer is actually in the .ascx for the EventMonth display itself. Look for the file EventMonth.ascx, which should be in <%webroot%>\DesktopModules\Events. Open it in any text editor, and look for the area near the middle of the file that reads:

<asp:datagrid id="DailyEvents" runat="server" Width="400px"

Replace the 400px entry with something more appropriate (in your case, try 100px), save the .ascx file and reload the page. You should notice a lot less left/right wasted whitespace. I had this same problem myself, as I am using the calendar module in an intranet setting, on the homepage, and the default width was badly disrupting the layout of the skin I was using.

I hope this helps...

Thanks Mike

I changed the EventMonth.ascx file to 100px and nothing changed so I tried other sizes just to see if it worked but I'm afraid the module still looks exactly the same as it did. I tried left align so it would at least line up to the edge of my page instead of floating in the middle but this also didn't change anything. This module seems pretty much useless unless you want it large and on a page by itself. Trying to fit it in to a designed layout seems pretty much impossible.

I've pretty much had enough of DNN 4. It's great being offered all this functionality but what good is it if you can't get the basics to work!
