Ditto, seems slow after 4.3.6, and still is right now on a Saturday afternoon. Could be anything I guess (might not be the app, more users?, has somebody turned on more logging and scheduled tasks?, perhaps the server is hosting a new porn site?) but I guess this could be a warning sign to look at before it gets released on the likes of us lot.

Funny cos looking at the roadmap there are a lot of speed enhancements....

Cheers

Alex

p.s. I'm parked in the UK (GMT).

p.p.s. (update)

If the roadmap is wrong then somebody needs to change this urgently please.

I wonder..... I wonder if.... the server here has installed these hotfixes yet (I think these are worth installing for whatever reason):
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/913297/
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/920970

I was getting a lot of app stops and starts in 4.3.5 caused by

Overwhelming Change Notification in C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\Temporary ASP.NET Files\root\36d254cf\c6d94348 Change in C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\Temporary ASP.NET Files\root\36d254cf\c6d94348\hash.web

I found this out using this method: DNNP-4384 (nb it would be nice to have feedback on this).

I think you can find out through IIS6 but you MUST turn on appropriate logging:
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/WindowsServer2003/Library/IIS/87892589-4eda-4003-b4ac-3879eac4bf48.mspx?mfr=true

Also this thread is interesting:
http://forums.asp.net/thread/1388975.aspx

My webhosting provider says they will install the hotfixes this weekend, so I will see what happens here....

Hey just playing phsyic diagnosis.... I suspect a lot of people may have this issue but might don't know about it. So what the heck.

Thanks

Alex

I don't see any slowdown on my site and it also runs 4.3.6.

Hi

If the performance enhancements are not to be implimented in 4.3.6 shouldn't somebody at least update the Gemini roadmap to reflect this ASAP? I wasted a lot of time last time because a certain fix (precompiling issue) was withdrawn and wasn't removed from the roadmap until a lot later.

I'm just considering other users who might be in a similar position this time round.

Cheers and thanks!

Alex
