Data Access Guidelines for information on adding a second database connection to the web.config and writing DAL code to access it.

however, you might want to code the data access manually because the reason the DAL+ saves you code is that it already figures out what database is configured for a DotNetNuke site. You can count on a DotNetNuke site having a database connection but only one.

Michael,

After reading about the DAL+, I worked out I am already coding a BLL using typed datasets so that will work as well.

I have tried what you suggested Michael and manually typed in the properties, then used the wizard and it is  fine.
