I have problems getting the 4.3.5 Install to run when extracted to a 'localhost' virtual directory. When I browse to the site I have created the browser basically just keeps waiting until I get a timeout error. I suspect that this is a problem with my IIS installation or Configuration as I can get DNN to work just fine when running it off the VS 2005 Cassini web server. I also encounter the same eproblem when trying to do the same with the standard ASP.NET 2.0 starter kits. I have tried uninstalling and then reinstalling IIS but to no avail. I have made sure that IIS is configured to use ASP.NET 2.0 and the neccessary DataBase permissions as well as ASPNET accounts have been set. Has anyone else encountered this problem or have any ideas ? Also, will it be an issue if I just continue to do my DEV work using the Cassini web server when it comes to time for deployment to a production web server ? (In which case I probably don't need to get DNN running on localhost anyway). I can browse to 'Normal' ASP.NET web sites on localhost so it seems to be running.

Any ideas anyone ?

I have looked at the problem a liitle further and it seems that it lies with my ASP.NET 2.0 installation. When I run aspnet_regiis -i from the Windows/Framwork 2.0 etc directory I receive an arror towards the end of the installation. I guess this is the root of the problem...

Also typing in http://localhost,/ also gives me a timeout error so the problem is definitely with my IIS installation.

I'll dig around a bit further for info as this seems to be a ASP.NET issue and not a DotnetNuke issue.
