Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I've installed DNN 4 on my Windows XP Pro machine for initial testing.

I use SQL Server 2005 for the database.  No error during installation, I get to see the default home page.

However, if I try to log in using Internet Explorer, i.e. Host login, I can log in but after that I dont see the host control panel on top, and the page doesn't give you the feel that you've logged in (however I know it has or else I'd get an error message at the login screen)

But if i use FireFox, I can log in perfectly and I can see the Host control panel on top and the place says "register" actually changed into "SuperUser account"

So basically, it works perfectly with FireFox but not with IE.

Anyone knows the fix to that??

Thank you

I don't have FireFox, but I got this same behavior in IE.  It looks like it was because of what I did to my web.config file.  I disabled the forms based authentication and enabled the windows based authentication.

When  I put it back the way it was initially (with the forms based authentication enabled), I was able to see the administrative parts again.
