I was wondering how to go about packaging a little skin object that I wrote.  I thought I would make it available but wasn't sure how best to do so.

I've done it in one (ascx) file just using a <script> tag so no assembly to deal with.  Just the one file and some graphics similar to the way the Skinergy object is done (I thought ... heyyy, that looks easy and presto! Skin object.)

Should I just zip and write a little readme (like Nic of Speerio) saying 'extract this to root. It should create directories here and there.'

?

Or is there an easy way to do things like with Modules?

Thanks much.  I've got it working now!

So tell me ... if you have an image directory with a hundred different little images, then do you have to give each one a <path> and <file> entry?

I had a few so I piped a file listing to a file and did a search and replace but I wondered if there was an easier way.

answering my own question

as noted here:
http://blog.danbartels.com/archive/2005/07/09/793.aspx

you can zip all your 'resource' files (text, images and the like) in whatever file structure you like, then add this to the .dnn

<resourcefile>Resources.zip</resourcefile>
