Hello, do I modify and rebuild core modules - e.g. user registration, etc.

Also, the desktop modules.

Modifying core code is certainly not a best practice.  If the core modules don't do what you need, you should consider building your own module (either completely or simply extending core functionality) or purchasing a commercial module.  If you modify core code, you are really limiting yourself when upgrade time rolls around.

Thank you, whats the best approach to extend core.

I assume take the core, and build another module based on that?   correct.

Is there a separate project file for each desktop module, i did not see that in the source.

Your help sincerely appreciated.
