Sorry if this have been posted before. I've done several searches and to no avail. The search capability here searches on word phrase rather than words, making it hard to find things.

My problem is when I went into host mode and created a List named Sex and added 2 entries "Male", "M" and "Female", "F" for text and value respectively. Everything works fine especially on the profile properties page. Then when I went into the Security Role page, a big surprise awaits me. I now have several duplicate roles listed. I double checked the database via SQL and everything seems to be fine. The one thing that caught my eyes was that one of the duplicate roles have a monthly subscription fee associated. The duplicate items displayed, one has the "Month(s)" for frequency and the other has "Male" as the frequency. So I'm assuming somehow the single "M" value has caused this duplicate display somehow. But I'm not sure how does the Security Role page utilizes a new List that I have created. So I went back to the List as Host and deleted the Sex List and recreated it with "Male", "Male" and "Female", "Female" as text and values, then all is well again.

I don't know about you guys, but I think that's a bug.

I'm not a Dotnetnuke expert, but i think the problem is probably on the GetPortalRoles stored procedure, because there is a two left outer join with Lists table only relating BillingFrequency or TrialFrequency with Lists.value field. When there is another list which has also a record with value 'M' will return duplicate records. I think maybe using the List name in the query will help.
