The DNN popup calendar does not work correctly for non US locales (or rather locales with dd/mm/yyy format dates).  I came across the problem calling the popup from an Xmod module, but it is also true for the popup dates in DNN forum search.  Find a site running the forum in a dd/mm locale.  Try selecting the same date several times (e.g. 5th October 05/10/2006) and you'll get a variation of formats 10/05 then 05/10.  I've just tried this on a german forum and seen the dates 05.10.2006 and 10/05/2006 - the separator too is affected.

Is there a resolution to this?  I've tried changing browser locales to no avail.  Is there another popup that does work that I can plug-in?

Thanks

looking a little further, this problem only seems to manifest in IE7 (7.0.5700.6).  In firefox and IE6 I don't get the problem.

I've just upgraded my IE7 to the released version and hey - it doesn't work.

Come on you DD/MMers - Can somebody tell me if this is a common problem or me using the wrong chants in the mornings?

There's a forum not a million miles away from Girona that shows it very clearly!

I've got the same problem with a module I'm testing on a site (4.3.5) set for en-CA and I'm using IE6. The popup returns a date formatted as mm/dd/yyyy instead of dd/mm/yyyy. But I also use this:

txtDateRegistered.Text = DateTime.Now.ToShortDateString();

to set a read-only text field and it also shows as mm/dd/yyyy. So it's not just the popup Calendar.

I've got the site set as en-CA and the Super User as well, but I'm still getting US date formats. I am running the site locally (using Cassini) rather than on IIS.

I have the same problem and it seems to be only in IE7

Selecting a date in the DNN calendar returnds the value in the formats shown for each browser:

FF 2:   =   dd/mm/yyyy   (as expected)

IE 6:   =   dd/mm/yyyy   (as expected)

IE 7:   =   mm/dd/yyyy   (NOT as expected)
