I'm in the process of rolling out a blog for a client, after various days of figuring out exactly how the blog was coded and functions I've come to terms with the limitations that I'm currently experiencing. A few questions and a few opinions as to future updates would I like to share with the core development team.

Firstly, a question. Although the source to the blog is extremely helpful, it limits me somewhat to add a few 'unique' changes to it, as, in my current case, the client wants. To note a very troubling problem that I am experiencing, also an option the team might look into in a future release is swapping the lnkParentBlogTitle around with the lnkParentEntryTitle, meaning instead of having displaying the blog title as a link in the ViewBlog container, just above the short description, having the actual entry title. I'm having endless trouble updating the blog to fit this design.

A second issue is the deleting of blog entries, which at the moment with the version that I'm using (3.02.00) is causing awry amongst my client's endusers. Having the delete feature as part of the entry edit container is a good idea, it has its limitations as to user friendliness, my solution was to create a link as part of the actual entry preview, only visible once an administrative user has logged in.

These I know, are minor issues, and might even have been called up.

Regards

Eric
