I installed DNN 4.3.5. I am following the instructions from a book that had me click in the VSI file. It all seemed to work great.

Inside Visual Web Developer 2005 Express Edition, I went into the web.config file and commented out all the SQLExpress lines and uncommented the SQL2005 lines. I have a 2005 database running with a database named JOE on it that I want to use.

I did this in both of the locations I could fuind where it was needed in web.config. I closed the project, reopened it. I right-hand mouse click over the App_Data folder, Select Add New Item, choose SQL Database, give it a name of DNNTEST1.mdf, click add, and I get the following error message:

Connections to SQL Server files (*.mdf) require SQL Server Express to run properly. Please verify the installation of the component or download the URL: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkId=49251.

So i am assuming there is something other than make the change you can see below that I need to do to let DNN know I am using SQL Server and not SQLExporess.

Thanks for your help

Mitch
