When a column is set to the Download datatype, the value displayed is the name of the file. It would be useful if it were possible to enter a "descriptive text" value for the link, which would be displayed as a link to the file.

For example: File=Oct06Trg.xls, Descriptive text=October 2006 Targets

This should also apply to the URL datatype if the file or URL option is chosen.

Please let me know if you will include this as a feature in a future version.

another option, I prefer to use, is to set a constant text in the extended settings of the download column, e.g. "download" or "<img src=""/images/save.gif"">"

Stefan - I will try this.

Sebastian - using the extended settings cannot create dynamic text (i.e. a different value for each row) can it? It looks like this would only create a constant text/image for all rows.

Thanks for the suggestions.
